The Torbay Singers is an auditioned chamber choir of no more than 50 singers. To preserve the scale of the choir, we limit the number of singers in each voice and all singers are re-auditioned every three years.

At the moment (Autumn 2022) we have one or two vacancies in some voice parts. If you are interested in singing with us but we have no vacancies in your vocal section, we will ask you to join a waiting list. When we have a vacancy, we will invite you along to sample a rehearsal or two without commitment. You will then need to audition for the Music Director before being admitted into the choir.

If you are interested in singing with us, please email us.  Please include details of your experience of choral singing and how we can contact you.  You will need a confident singing voice, and be able to listen and blend into a chamber choir. You do not need to be a demon sight-reader but you do need to be able to read music and be willing to do homework on your voice part.  Our rehearsals are for creating our performance, not for learning the notes.
