Duruflé Requiem and other French works

The Torbay Singers will be delighted to introduce their new Conductor, Matthew Cann, at our next concert – a varied programme of beautiful French Music – the main work being Maurice Durufle’s Requiem, featuring Andrew Millington on organ, and Héloïse West soprano soloist. The concert will also include unaccompanied motets for choir by Durufle and Poulenc, and solo items performed by  Andrew Millington, Héloïse West and also Matthew Cann on piano.

The concert will take place at St John’s Church, Montpelier Road, Torquay on Saturday 30th November at 7.30, tickets £12 (free to under 25s in full time education) available in advance  from  01803 782677, 07813 582273 and at the door. Alternatively contact us here.

PLEASE NOTE

Parking near St John’s Church has been disrupted due to construction of a new hotel nearby. The regular access to the Harbour car park on Montpelier Road has been diverted via Museum Road, pedestrian access to the church is then directly onto Montpelier Road/The Terrace as usual. As a result you may need to leave a few extra minutes.

P.S.

Save the date! We are planning a Come and Sing Workshop at Exeter School on 25th January 2020 on Vivaldi’s Gloria and Handel’s Zadok the Priest. We will send out booking information in the next few weeks.
